ESNEFT’s new electronic patient record system will Go-Live on Thursday 2 October 2025.
It’s a huge transformation for ESNEFT and one that will bring many benefits to the way we work, but most importantly for our patients.
A key change will be that patients can view their hospital record through the MyChart app or website. They’ll be able to access their health history (populated from 2 October 2025), their appointments and have direct contact with their clinical teams at the hospital.
This won’t include information from SystmOne and it won’t link to the NHS app at the point of go live.
A key change for opthalmology & optometry will be the generation of HES(3) vouchers. As patients are now able to produce copies of their documents from the MrChart app it is only the original signed HES(3) that will be valid.
